Do Alpacas eat Goldfish?

Our playgroup took a trip to an alpaca farm in Midlothian this morning. It was a lot of fun because they were able to pet a baby alpaca and run around in a field with them while the moms got a lesson on breeding alpacas. I found it extremely interesting! Madelyn was a little leery when we first arrived, but warmed up as the morning went on. In the van on the way to the farm, Madelyn asked me a million times if Alpacas eat goldfish. She was very concerned about what they eat! The lady who owns the farm was super nice and took Madelyn and some others around the field and gave each child a bundle of Alpaca hair and some felt soap to take home. It was a very fun and educational morning!

Warming up to pet the baby alpaca!

The owners have named every one of the alpacas. It was so interesting to me that they can tell them all apart!

Madelyn wasn't so sure about petting the alpaca!

There is a little bit of a smile!

I love this picture of the baby alpaca drinking a bottle of milk! Madelyn was fascinated because you know she loves baby bottles.

I couldn't believe they let the kids run around the field with the alpacas. Madelyn stayed pretty close to me but ran around a little!

Always so serious when we're seeing new things!

Too cute!

Baby Ellie enjoying the Alpacas!

Holding a tuft of alpaca hair...It's very soft and they had yarn for sale for all the knitters in our group!

Madelyn not so sure about the soap..I think it smells awesome!

Only Madelyn could wear a white shirt to an Alpaca farm and not get dirty!
