On the move!
After Holden got tubes in his ears on February 2nd, he has taken off and we we have seen so many changes from week to week. He is running, climbing and talking up a storm (when I say talking I mean babbling). He loves having lots of conversations with you and just laughs and laughs as he is talking. He's very curious and loves balls and cars. He follows his big sisters everywhere and gets very upset when they will not play with him. He's also starting to show a little frustration when he does not get what he wants. Oh the joys of having an almost 18 month old! Here are some photos I took of our sweet boy earlier this week:

Valentine's Day Weekend
We could not have asked for a better Valentine's Day weekend. We spent a ton of time going things as a family which was so nice. Bill and I even went on a date night on Friday with good friends which was such a treat. On Saturday, we spent the afternoon at the mall. Madelyn got her ears pierced, we shopped around and the girls got all of their gear for Spring soccer. On Valentine's Day, we went to church, got together for brunch with our FIRE group and went out to dinner for hibachi. It was a wonderful weekend spending time with our little family!

Big Day for Madelyn
Madelyn came downstairs a couple of weeks ago and stated that she is ready to get her ears pierced! We decided to have it done over Valentine's Day weekend and she was so excited. It amazes me how confident Madelyn can be when she puts her mind to something She sat on that chair with all smiles and said that it only hurt a little bit. She picked the rhinestone fireball earrings because they sparkle and reflect the color of your clothing so she was happy that it matches with everything. She has also been so good about caring for her ears three times a day and I do not even have to remind her to do it. She has become such a responsible little girl and we are so proud of our Madelyn!

Feed My Starving Children
Our Fire Group at church participated in a community service event called Feed My Starving Children last Sunday. We packaged food for children in other countries. It was so rewarding and the kids really did have a big part in the process. Madelyn was in charge of putting the food on the scale and adding more rice if needed. Ellie helped box the food packages. Our group packaged enough food to feed 233 kids for one year. It was amazing!

Lots of talking and walking!
February is just flying by! Our little man is almost 17 months old and finally walking and talking up a storm now that he has tubes in his ears (surgery was February 2nd). He is often found walking the circle of our house with a light saber in hand which is his new favorite toy. You can also find him in the pantry pulling out and emptying bags of chips, rummaging through the trash can and exploring all cabinets and drawers. He also loves to say Bye Bye to everyone! He's a busy little boy and we love him so much!
