We can't believe that Madelyn is already 18 months old. Time is flying by way too fast! She had her 18 month appointment today and it went really well. At 18 months, Madelyn:
1. Weighs 23 lbs (30%) and is 31.5 inches long (45%) and her percentages have increased since the last appointment
2. She is talking non-stop and we have stopped counting her words because she knows so many right now
3. Her favorite toy is her tea set and she loves serving people tea and cake
4. Last week, she figured out how to master her puzzles and it can entertain her for a very long time. We'll see how long that lasts!
5. She is trying to learn to count and currently says (one, two, eighteen)
6. Her favorite show is Sesame Street and LOVES Elmo and Abby
7. Fenway is still her best friend and she talks about him and give him kisses constantly.
8. She hates vegetables and I'm trying to come up with creative ways to hide them in her food.
9. Now that it is nice outside, all she wants to do is play outside in her playhouse or go to the park and go down the slide
10. Her favorite food is Pizza
11. Last but not least, she loves purses, jewerly and especially shoes. Bill is getting a little scared!

Strawberry Picking
Madelyn and I visited the Chesterfield Berry Farm today with one of our playgroups. We had an awesome time and the weather was perfect. Madelyn enjoyed the hayride and enjoyed helping me put the strawberries in the bucket and loved eating the strawberries off the vine. However, once we got home this afternoon she wanted nothing to do with them. I guess she prefers her strawberries in the middle of a field. After picking strawberries, the kids played in the moon bounce and we had a picnic lunch. After lunch, Madelyn played in a toddler area filled with corn kernels. She had an absolute blast and was exhausted when we got in the car and slept the entire way home!

Mother's Day and Dance Party in the Glen
We had a very busy weekend at our house between doing things around the house, a Cheeseburger in Paradise party, and Mother's Day. On Saturday night, we went over to our old neighborhood for a Cheeseburger in Paradise party. It was so much fun to see a lot of our old neighbors and Madelyn had a great time playing with her friend, Olivia. They spent a lot of the evening dancing on the deck. I think their favorite song was "Let's Get Drunk and Screw." Madelyn partied until almost 8:45 and we had to drag her to the car to go home!
We also had a wonderful Mother's Day. We relaxed, worked in the yard, and had my family over for dinner. We even had a chance to talk to Grandma up in CT over skype. It was so nice to get a chance to see her because she's in the hospital with Pneumonia as a result of chemotherapy. Please keep Michele in your prayers!

She finally talked for the camera!
We finally took the time to capture some video this weekend and Madelyn actually talked in front of the camera. On the video, she's not half as talkative as usual, but she says some of her words. Madelyn is changing daily and surprises us with new words every day. She has us laughing non-stop these days which has been so much fun!
The video is pretty long so most of you probably don't want to watch the entire thing (except maybe the grandparents). The first 2 minutes show her little personality. As you can see, she still LOVES to talk on the phone like her mommy!
