Madelyn is 8 years old!

This post is way late but better late than never!

At 8 years old, Madelyn is:

48 inches
46 pounds

She is a very petite little girl and we have been trying to put some weight on her with lots of milkshakes and fattening foods. She's been working hard at gaining weight these last couple of months.

Madelyn has blossomed into such an independent little girl.  She's very confident in everything she does in school and her extracurricular activities.  She takes Jazz/Tap at the dance studio and has started taking Gymnastics as well.   She also loves being a Brownie Girl Scout.  Madelyn is an avid reader and loves hanging out with her friends too.   She stays very busy and we are so proud of her!

New Year's Eve

Since our New Year's Plans changed at the last minute, we decided to take the kids ice skating at West Broad Village.  They have been begging to go so it was the perfect night to try it out.  They loved it and Holden and I enjoyed watching everyone from the sidelines.  After ice skating, we grabbed dinner with the Nolans and another family.  After dinner, Uncle Sam announced that he had some fireworks so Bill jumped on that statement and invited everyone over to our house for a fireworks show.  It was a fun impromptu night and a great way to bring in the New Year!

More time with Cousins!

We got together with the Pickels side of the family the day after Christmas.  The Costley family decided that they were going to do a little holiday concert and Ellie decided that she was going to participate with her new guitar.  She jumped right in and was so happy the entire time. It was so nice seeing everyone during the holidays!

SC Christmas!

We had a great time visiting the McGuire side of the family in SC.  It was so nice staying with Grandpa and Grandma Vera in their beautiful new home.  We had  LOTS of yummy food and the cousins had an awesome time with each other.  They all played so nicely together!  It was a really warm and humid week so we enjoyed a trip to the zoo and some time outside which felt so good.  It was a wonderful trip and we enjoyed every minute of it!

Christmas 2015

We started off Christmas going to mass with Nana and Pop and Aunt Doris and Uncle Harold following by dinner at our house.  I was a little worried about mass because we had to get there at 3:30 for a 5PM mass.  Holden surprised us and did pretty well sitting there and only had to be taken out once.  The girls are at such a great age for Christmas and could hardly wait for Santa to come.  It was a great night with all the excitement in the air!

Christmas morning was a ton of fun. They were so excited to run downstairs and open their presents.   It was very warm outside so we enjoyed hanging out on our porch and the girls rode around in their new jeep and played with new toys.  It was very relaxing! In the afternoon, we headed over to Nana and Pop's house for an early dinner and presents.  We are so blessed and it was a wonderful day celebrating Christmas with family!

Ellie was excited about her Big Pink Bear and Guitar!
