Christmas Town

This year we decided to try out Christmas Town at Busch Gardens.  It ended up being just the four of us which made it a fun family activity.  Madelyn and Ellie loved everything about Christmas Town.  They loved the Santa Fireside Feast, the lights, the rides and all the holiday music.  This sounds cheesy but Madelyn said that her favorite part of Christmas Town was us being together as a family.  Too sweet!   We did have a hot chocolate disaster at the end of our night.  We waited too late to get them their hot chocolate and they were tired and spilling it all over themselves, us and the stroller.  It was a complete waste of money but at least we have Christmas Town mugs as a souvenir.   It was an awesome day trip and we will definitely do it again next year!

One of my favorite rides.   We rode it twice!

We rode the Sky Ride a ton at Christmas Town, especially once it got dark and we could see all the lights from the sky!

Madelyn loved the snow and was running around trying to catch it on her tongue.  Ellie was not amused by the snow because she said it was fake and pointed to the snow machine at the top of the building.

A Lot To Be Thankful For

Thanksgiving this year was filled with lots of family time.  We enjoyed a relaxing morning at home and headed over to Nana and Pop's house around 11. The afternoon was filled with yummy food and fun with family.  The girls loved spending the afternoon with their cousins.  It was an great Thanksgiving and we have so much to be thankful for this year, especially our two little girls. We are truly blessed!

Happy 6th Birthday to Our Sweet Madelyn

Madelyn had a very fun-filled birthday weekend.  It started off on Friday with a little celebration at school.  She was so excited that her name was mentioned during the morning announcements and then was very happy when Ellie, Nana and I joined her for lunch followed by a little birthday celebration in her classroom.  Madelyn's teacher is so awesome because she invites you to come in the class and read your child's favorite book, the class sang happy birthday and Madelyn picked a bouncy ball out of the birthday box.  They are then allowed to bounce the ball around the classroom and let it hit the ceiling.  It does not sound like much but the kids absolutely love it!

On Saturday, we enjoyed spending time with the Richter family and the girls loved spending time with Sarah and Jack.  The kids rode the train at the mall, had a yummy birthday lunch at El Paso and a Hello Kitty party in the afternoon.  The party was pretty chaotic but I think Madelyn had a great time.  During the party, we had a balloon lady entertain the kids, played "Pin the Bow on Hello Kitty" and had a really fun dance party led by Aunt Kristen.  Needless to say, we were all exhausted by the end of the day.  We can't believe our little girl is 6-years old and it was so fun celebrating Madelyn's special day with friends and family!

Madelyn was so surprised when they put the sombrero on her head and sang Happy Birthday at the end of our meal!
