4 months old!

This post is a little late because we've been out of town for the wedding but better late than never. Ellie is now 4 months old and time is going by way too fast. She had her 4 month appointment last week and is doing well. At four months, Ellie is:

• 12 lbs 5 oz (20th percentile)
• 25 inches (76th percentile)
• Eating about 6 times per day. We have the go ahead to start cereal but the 2 times we've tried it she doesn't really like it. It's still early so we will probably try it again in another month.
• Was sleeping through the night but decided to wake up 1-2 times a night several weeks ago. It started when we pushed her bedtime up to 7pm. We're going to be working on this!
• Has starting taking a morning and afternoon nap in her crib. She's become a lot less portable and needs peace and quiet to sleep. We've had to adjust our schedule a little bit but I'm thrilled she's napping well and in her crib.
• Is getting better at her head control. She's a little behind in this area so we've been doing a lot more tummy time. I've already seen improvement this week.
• Has found her hands and feet. She loves to grab her feet and is trying to roll over. I can see her rolling over any time now.

Ellie loves to smile and laugh. She smiles at everyone and is the sweetest little 4 month old. She never takes her eyes off her Big Sister. It's been so fun watching her change and grow and we can't wait to see what next month brings!
