Field Day of the Past

Today was a perfect Fall day so Bill and I decided to skip church and take the kids to Field Day of the Past in Goochland.  This event is a smaller version of the State Fair and is as country as country can be.  We have been the past couple of years and really enjoy it!  The kids love the rides, farm animals, pig races and watching all the tractors drive around.  We also enjoyed a nice BBQ lunch overlooking a tractor show and yummy milkshakes for dessert.  It was a great Fall family outing!

Getting ready to watch the Pig Race!

Ellie sitting on Daddy's shoulders so she can have a good view of the pigs!

The pigs after taking a swim!

Madelyn and her cow friend!

Madelyn's favorite part was the Big Slide!

Ellie loved riding in the cars with Madelyn!

Madelyn picked the pink and purple horse!

All smiles on this ride!

Our big girl!

The girls rode the airplanes twice!

The corn kernel truck was also a favorite!

Ellie loved the corn once she figured out it wasn't like sand!

Hanging out watching the Tractor Show!

Madelyn loved sitting on a tractor.  Ellie was not a big fan!

Looking so old to me!
Sharing a yummy milkshake!

Bill and I noticed Madelyn's arm while they were on the plane ride.  Melts my heart!

Sweet Sisters!
