Ellie is 2.5 years old!

Ellie's signature smile at 2.5 years old!  I can't get her to smile normally to save my life but I love her little goofy smile at this age!





I can't believe our baby is two and a half years old!  Time is  flying by and needs to slow down.  Ellie has grown into such a sweet, funny, and caring little girl.  Once you spend some extended time with Ellie, you quickly realize that she's got quite the sense of humor and can be very goofy at times.   She loves to make us laugh, especially at the dinner table!  At 2.5 years old, Ellie:

• Weights 30 lbs 7 oz (72%) and is 36 inches tall (57%)
• Still takes a long afternoon nap (2-3 hours) and sleeps 12 hours at night.  She's an awesome sleeper but I'm scared about what will happen when we take away her pacifier in a couple of months!
• Has become a very picky eater.  She loves fruit but is not a fan of vegetables and doesn't understand bribery yet.  It's almost impossible to get her to eat her vegetables even with a cookie waiting as a reward.  Ellie's favorite foods are macaroni and cheese, breakfast bars, Rice Krispies, Pancakes, and whatever someone else is eating. She loves to experiment but often quickly responds with "I don't like that".
• Is still in a crib and has never attempted to climb out. 
• Starting to show interest in potty training so we are going to attemp that hurdle in a couple of weeks. 
• Ellie loves to dance and play dress up.  She can't wait to take ballet lessons like her Big Sister  next year. She often wears her ballet leotard to gymnastics because she thinks she is going to dance lessons!
• Loves her Big Sister and they are attached at the hip.  They do everything together and is a lost soul when Madelyn is at school.  She has a hard time playing alone so we're working on that this Fall.  
• Enjoys going to Ms. Nancy's music class on Monday mornings.
• Has a pretty laid back personslity.  She was becoming quite a hand full about 6 months ago but has been working on listening and has matured quite a bit.  She likes to tell me that she is being a good listener!
• Loves to play outside and ride her bike, blow bubbles and play on our swing set.   She's gotten really into playgrounds the last couple of months and is constantly asking to go to one!
• Absolutely hates sand and the ocean.  She does not like to get her feet and hands dirty.
• Almost has all her teeth.  It's about time! She's been an extremely slow teether and we are waiting for 3 more baby teeth to pop through.
• Favorite colors are pink and purple
• Is obsessed with TV and her favorite shows are Micky Mouse Clubhouse, Dora and Jake and the Neaverland Pirates.  She also LOVES Disney Movies, especially Tangled and Beauty and the Beast.
• Loves Fenway and is still his #1 Fan!
