Spent my birthday with Sarah Palin!

We had quite a Monday at our house! At least I had quite a Monday. My mom, sister, and I went to the Republican Rally to hear Sarah Palin speak at RIR. We dressed up in our Red to make "Virginia Red" and headed out around 11:30 today to hear Sarah speak at 2. Despite the crowd and heat, it was an amazing event and something that we will remember forever! Go McCain/Palin!!!
Amy and Mom posing when we actually had a little room to breath. Amy was a trooper since she's 32 weeks pregnant today!

Sarah and Todd Palin during the National Anthem performed by Hank Williams.

Hank Williams singing while Todd and Sarah listened! The first time I've really used the zoom on our camera and it worked!

Pumpkin Patch Part 2

Today we took a "field trip" to the Hanover Vegetable Farm with one of Madelyn's playgroups. It was a wonderful fall morning and all the kids had a great time despite the fact that most of them were way to young to understand:) At least the parents had a great time. Nana spent the day with us and was the photographer for the group.

Madelyn's favorite part of our trip was riding in the wagon on the way back to the farm. She loved to hold onto the railings with the wind blowing through her hair as she waved to everyone we passed. She was too cute!

Here are some pictures from our morning:

Madelyn all ready to go get her pumpkin. She hated sitting in the dirt!Madelyn enjoyed petting the horse, but she was a little startled by him at first!

Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

After a long week of dealing with Madelyn's ear infection, we had a very packed fall weekend. Yesterday, Bill played in a golf tournament with some friends while Madelyn and I did some shopping at the mall. She is becoming quite the mall shopper and taking after her Mommy. Last night, we went to a Fall Festival at the Burden's house in our old neighborhood. We had a great time and was nice seeing all of our old neighbors. Today, we went to the Chesterfield Berry Farm with the Lugo family. We rode on the wagon to pick out our pumpkin, saw some animals, and ended the night with dinner at Mexico. We were all exhausted after an afternoon at the pumpkin patch!

We are headed up to Northern Virginia tomorrow morning to spend the night with our friends Karyn and AJ Baskette. We can't wait to see them!

Here are some pictures from the weekend:

What a good Daddy!

Madelyn has been sick with a cold this weekend. As a result, she has had a horrible time sleeping, especially during her naps She couldn't sleep at all during her afternoon nap because of congestion so Bill held her while she slept for 2 hours. Actually, maybe I should say they slept for 2 hours. I snapped a picture because I thought they looked so cute!

Boy have Times Changed

Madelyn and I drove up to Nova with the Moore's to have a lunch/playdate with several of our college friends. We had a great time, and it's amazing how our lives and conversations have changed during our get togethers (especially this one with all the kids). Our friend, Cari, has moved back from London and we were able to see their new house and Elias (who is now 15 months old!). Cari made a delicious lunch for all of us. It was so much fun to see everyone for at least a short visit! Here are some pictures from our day. It was impossible to get every kid in the picture, but I think I got them all except for baby Judah who was probably asleep or eating. The last picture was taken when we got home this afternoon and I found Madelyn in Fenway's crate.

Moo! Moo!

We spent the afternoon in Goochland at the 60th annual Payne Family Reunion. It was held on a dairy farm and Madelyn had a great time looking at the cows. The weather was perfect, the food was very good, and we are all very tired tonight. Madelyn is especially tired because she went all afteroon with no nap. She was a trooper! Here are some pictures from the reunion:

Eating lunch at the reunion. Tried some corn pudding and sweet potatoe casserole for the first time!

What a cute baby calf!

10 Months Old!

Just a quick note to say that our little girl is 10 months old today! Each month is flying by and only a couple more months until her 1st birthday. Here's a picture from today. You can't see them because her pants are too long, but today was one of the first times she has worn shoes AND she was all decked out in purple (bow, shirt, pants, and of course the shoes). She looked like such a big girl!
