February

February is always the shortest but longest month of the year.  Every year, I always find myself counting the days until the first of March and it seems as if it will never come.  The last couple of weeks have been a blur because they have been filled with snow days, sickness and lots of time inside. We got about 5 or so inches (I think - trying to remember) last week and missed 2 more days of school.  During the time off from school, Madelyn started with a fever/congestion and continued with a fever for 4 days.  After 2 trips to the Dr, she was finally diagnosed with strep throat.  The next night, Ellie came down with the fever and tested positive for strep.  We are hoping that everyone will feel 100% by the end of the week so we can enjoy the warm temperatures hitting the area.  This family could use some outside playtime!

Picture from a couple of weeks ago when Cora surprised Madelyn at school for Pizza Friday!

Cora also surprised Ellie by picking her up from school!

Madelyn making jewelry  at a friend's birthday party!

Ellie and Cora enjoying a Sunday afternoon play date!

Forgot to mention Buddy has also had a hard time in the health department.  He had a bad hot spot but it is almost healed thank god.  He hated his special collar!

Dressing up early for Valentine's Day before the snow hits!

Making Valentine's cookies on a snow day!

Ellie loves playing in the snow!

The girls were so excited that we finally had good snow for a snowman!

Madelyn  made Valentine's for the whole family.  It was so cute!

Nana came over with yummy cookies and chocolate covered strawberries.  This is right before we realized Madelyn was really sick with a high fever.  We made a trip to the Dr. right after this photo!

This is probably why Ellie got strep from Madelyn!

My poor sick Valentine!
