We had a fun and relaxing July 4th weekend. We went to the pool quite a bit and worked on Madelyn's big girl bed/room. Madelyn has been sleeping in a toddler bed and we converted it to a full size bed. We also moved around the furniture to make the bed fit (the bed is huge), hung a mirror over her dresser and purchased new bedding. Madelyn loves her new room and is getting used to her bed. She fell out once and we have found her on the floor a couple of times but we are hoping she'll get used to it soon! I have a couple of finishing touches to do to her room so I'll post more pictures later.
On the evening of July 4th, we had plans to go to an event to see fireworks with Nana and Pop and some of our friends. Unfortunately, we had terrible storms and had to turn around a go home. Madelyn was very disappointed but is looking forward to seeing fireworks at Grandpa's house this week! After the rain calmed down, Bill took Madelyn out and let her light some sparklers which also helped the disappointment. Here are a couple of pictures from our weekend:
