Busy Little Bee

Madelyn has been a very busy Big Sister the last couple of weeks. She has adjusted very well and loves Ellie so much and is really starting to help me with getting diapers and burp cloths and loves putting in Ellie's pacifier. We had a rough couple of weeks at the beginning but she's really turned a corner and acting like a big girl. On top of her Big Sister duties, Madelyn has started using the potty throughout the day. She wants to sit on the potty every time we go to change her diaper and she's gone every couple hours in the potty the last couple of days. Still no poop in the potty but she's getting the hang of pee. I'm thinking about starting the potty training process next month if the interest continues!

Madelyn also went to a gymnastics birthday party last Saturday, went to the circus with Nana and Pop last Sunday and started her swimming lessons at the Morgan Swim School this morning with Daddy. She's been very busy!

Madelyn had a blast doing gymnastics and was mesmerized by the circus and sat through most of it until she got antsy the last 20 minutes. Nana and Pop bought her the big circus book and she has been carrying it around all week. This morning, Madelyn had her swimming lesson with Daddy and did great. She was a little hesitant about the water at first but was going under by the end of the class. We're hoping that this little Dad/Mom/Tot class helps Madelyn be comfortable in the water by the time pool season starts the end of May! We are really looking forward to the pool this summer and we want our trips to be as easy as possible with two little ones! Here are some photos from the last week. We went to a play date at the Schmitt's house and met up with a friend who had a baby a couple of weeks before Ellie. This is Ellie's first play date with her friend Elle!
