A Night At The Museum

It's seems ridiculous but our dance recital weekend is one of the busiest weekends we have all Spring.  Our dance studio does a huge show with a theme which forces us to practice on Saturday for a big chunk of the day and then the kids perform in 2 shows on Sunday.  Each show on Sunday is 3 hours long.  It's crazy but a ton of fun and the kids absolutely love being part of such a neat production.   The theme of this year's recital was "A Night At The Museum".  Madelyn's took ballet/tap 3 and her class performed a tap routine to Peanuts and she dressed as Snoopy.  Ellie took ballet/tap 1 and her class performed a tap routine to Jungle Book and she dressed as an Elephant.  Ellie was only in 1 show this year because of her age.  The newest dancer in our family is Bill because the girls begged him to sign up for the Dad's Dance this year and they danced "Shake It Off".  He actually enjoyed it and had to practice on 3 Saturdays and performed at the end of both shows on Sunday.  He did a great job and worked so hard on memorizing his routine.  We all loved watching him dance and got some good laughs watching  all the dads dance in their costumes.  I am so proud of all 3 of my dancers!  :)

Dress Rehearsal for Miss Ellie the Elephant

I was the room mom for Dress Rehearsal backstage and I could not tell if Ellie was nervous or excited.  She was very serious!

All ready to dance!

Our 3 dancers!

Ellie loved her class and Ms. Alicia

Madelyn had a cute little part at the end of her dance.  The little boy to the right was Charlie Brown.

Bill's ending.  He is on the floor in the center.

Bill got a flower from Nana and Pop

These girls had so many flowers.  2 bouquets each from both sets of grandparents.   They were so excited about all their flowers!

Holding their flowers from Grandpa and Grandma Vera!

My friend snapped this of the girls getting ready to go out for the real show

Ellie is the closest dancer.  She did so well with her little tap routine!
