Happy 7th Birthday Madelyn!

I can't believe it has been 7 years since our little Madelyn Grace was born.  She is one of the most creative, sweetest and giving kids that I know.  For Madelyn, her 7th birthday was a VERY big deal and she planned every minute of her birthday in her head.  She decided that she wanted to go to the American Girl store in DC on her actual birthday.  On Friday night, she had a small group of friends over for pizza, cupcakes and a movie.  Her friends came to the party in their PJs and brought their dolls (most of which were wearing matching pajamas).  The girls made bracelets for themselves and their doll.  After cupcakes, the girls headed upstairs to watch the movie "Isabelle".  During the movie, the girls mostly ran around and danced so not much of the movie was actually watched.  They had a great time at the "Almost Sleepover" party  and Madelyn is very lucky to have such great friends!

On Sunday, we headed up to DC with Nana and Cora to visit the American Girl store and have lunch at the bistro.  It was absolutely adorable and the restaurant did such a great job making her birthday so special with the cake, goodie bags, tiaras and they even had a Dr. come to our table to examine Madelyn's doll.  She thought is was hilarious!   The girls got their doll's ears pierced and Nana bought each girl an outfit as a souvenir.  It was such a fun day and a great way to celebrate Madelyn's 7th birthday!

Holden and I ate lunch with Madelyn!

All ready for friends to arrive

Lissie is always such a big help during our parties

Ellie gave Madelyn a BFF friendship necklace

Poor Holden. I have a feeling this is going to be his life.  Always surrounded by girls!

Nana and Pop gave Madelyn the doll "Isabelle".  Grandpa and Grandma Vera gave Madelyn the matching outfit.  Madelyn was so happy to open her gift from Grandpa and Vera over Skype with them!

All ready to go!

Madelyn is obsessed with the Washington Monument so Bill planned a little Drive By on the way to American Girl

Sweet Baby Boy is always on the go

Love this photo because it shows the difference in their personalities!

What a good Daddy!

Holden was underneath the table during the majority of the lunch!
