Ellie is 3.5 years old!

We can't believe our little baby is no longer a toddler but a big preschooler.  Ellie is a very caring and sweet little girl but she definitely keeps us on our toes at times! She is very affectionate and loves to cuddle and also has a very funny and silly personality once you get to know her.  At 3.5 years old, Ellie:
  • Weights around 37 pounds and is approximately 39 inches tall.  She is catching up to her Big Sister in both weight and height and needs to slow down because of all the hand me down clothes!
  • Is attending her first year of preschool and goes to school on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 - 12.  She has had some separation anxiety when I drop her off with tears a couple of mornings.  Overall, she says she likes school and seems to be making a couple of new friends!
  • Adores her Big Sister and older kids in general.  She is very popular at the school bus stop and everyone loves her!  She plays really well with kids older then her but we are working on interacting with kids her own age.  Madelyn going to Kindergarten has been hard for Ellie.  Ellie makes Madelyn give her a hug every morning when the bus arrives.  It melts my heart!
  • Her favorite food is pizza, quesadilla, pancakes, and chicken nuggets.  Ellie also LOVES condiments!  Overall, she is a picky eater but has been better at trying new things with bribery.
  • Loves to play outside and ride her bike.  She's gotten really good at riding her bike with training wheels in the cul-da-sac down the street.
  • No longer takes a nap.  She dropped it completely after we took the pacifier away.  She has a had a hard time some afternoons but does a lot better sleeping at night with no nap.
  • Is taking her first ballet class on Tuesday mornings and loves to dance
  • Just started wearing Big Girl Underpants to bed at night.  She will have an accident every once in a while during the night but we think that pull-ups at night are a thing of the past.  Go Ellie!
  • Loves to ask questions and is very observant.  She notices everything and is also good at remembering words to songs.  She's always singing in her car seat when music is playing!
  • Is possibly left handed.  She mostly uses her left hand when eating, coloring and batting.  We have lefties in our family and thinking she may be too!
  • Has started dressing herself and wants to be very independent when putting on her PJ's after bath time.
  • Loves dogs, especially big dogs.  She's always telling us she wants her own dog and it has to be tall.  She is one of Fenway's biggest fans too!
We love you Ellie Michelle Victoria McGuire (that's what she calls herself)!
