Holden James McGuire

We welcomed Holden James last Monday, September 15th at 3:10pm at St. Mary's Hospital.  He was 7 lbs 8 oz and 20.5 inches long.  We are so happy that Baby Holden finally made his appearance.  He was a couple of weeks early.  However, he had tried to make his entrance for an entire week before Dr. Hirata decided to get things going last Monday.  We are all in love with this sweet little boy.   He loves to cuddle and only cries when his diaper is changed or we are dressing him.  He loves to be held and there is always someone who wants to hold him in our house.  Since Holden was badly bruised during delivery, he was very jaundice during his first week home and had to be seen by a home health nurse on a daily basis and was put on a light blanket.  Thankfully, Holden is doing much better and off the light.  Right now we are all enjoying loving on this new baby boy and adjusting to life as a family of 5!

Surprise Bunco Shower!

We really have some of the best neighbors in the world. After finding out that Baby McGuire will hopefully be arriving sooner than expected, I decided to have one last hurrah and go to neighborhood Bunco despite having contractions.  I'm so glad I made it because my wonderful neighbors had planned a surprise Baby Shower for me.  We had yummy food, they had decorations and were so gracious to give me fun gifts for our Baby Boy.  It was such an awesome evening and I cannot think the neighborhood ladies enough that they gave me such a fun little evening to celebrate our upcoming Baby Boy!

Ellie goes to Pre-K!

On Monday, Ellie started Pre-K at her preschool. She will be going to school 3 days a week from 8 - 12 and so far, she absolutely loves it!  We had some separation anxiety problems last year, but knock on wood, she has marched right in the first couple of days.  Ellie has started with a brand new class so she was a little nervous about meeting new friends.  She loves her teacher and has already met some new friends in her class.  We are so proud of our sweet Ellie!

Ready to head to preschool!

Both girls ready for school bright and early!

Madelyn goes to 1st Grade!

Madelyn was such a big girl on the first day of school.  I was a tiny bit nervous because she had missed "Open House" due to our beach trip so she had not met her teacher and did not know where her class is located.  Madelyn was not nervous at all!  Fortunately, she has a lot of friends and neighbors in her class so she had lots of people to walk with when they arrived at school.  Madelyn loves clothes so was very particular about what she was wearing and how her hair was going to be on the first day.  She got on the bus with all smiles and was grinning from ear to ear when she returned home.  She said she loves her teacher and it was a great day!

All ready to go to the bus stop!
