Outer Banks 2014

We had another fabulous family vacation in Corolla on the Outer Banks this year. We stayed in the same house we've had for 3 years and the kids absolutely love the pool and the beach.  This year we had a smaller crowd and Uncle Sam had to leave a couple of days early because he was called into work.  The kids had so much fun playing in the water, going on a crab hunt, painting horses, climbing the lighthouse,  shopping and riding on the go-carts.  Unfortunately, the first 3 days were very windy with red flags so we could not do much in the water.  The last half of the trip, the waves were perfect and they all loved using their boogie boards.  Since I was 36 weeks pregnant on the beach, I took it easy and we were thankful that the week was uneventful in the baby department.  We all had a great week of family fun and are already counting the days until our next beach vacation!

When we first arrived at the beach house, we went straight to the sand!

Happy Birthday Josh!

Before we left for the beach, we went to a little birthday party at the pool for Josh.  It ended up being a beautiful night and the pool was empty.  It was the perfect evening to celebrate our little nephew turning 3. We love you Josh!

Happy Birthday Meme!

A couple of weeks ago, we celebrated Meme's 82nd birthday at Nana and Pop's house. It was a beautiful night and Meme loved seeing all her great grandchildren.  The kids are so lucky to know their Great Grandmother!
