What a crazy month!

It has been a while since we have posted anything on our blog because it has been a crazy month with moving into our new house and we finally have internet working. I had no idea it would be so much work! Things have gone very well for the most part. The contractors are coming back this week to finish up lighting, painting, and some other random things. We've also had problems with Fenway marking his territory. I change enough diapers and clean up enough spit up to be dealing with Fenway's messes! I'm praying this week is a little better with him. We'll be so happy when we can be back into our normal routine

To update you on what has been going on besides the move, Madleyn is now 7 months old. Where has the time gone? We put together the high chair so she's a big girl during meals and is able to watch us eat instead of sitting on the ground. She has also cut two of her bottom teeth.

This weekend we worked on the house and today we went to The Bertoni farm for Kathryn's (our cousin) 30th birthday. Madelyn saw chickens and ducks for the first time. We had a great time with everyone!

Madelyn in her highchair for the first time!

Poor Madelyn and Fenway have done a lot of playing on this blanket while we unpack everything. They have been troopers! Fenway is on spit up watch:)

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

This past weekend we went to the SOX/Orioles game in Baltimore with 20+ people (both sides of our family and some family friends). We had a wonderful time with everyone. We went out to dinner on Friday night and ate some yummy Maryland crabcakes, a bunch of people went into Baltimore on Saturday during the day (we stayed in so Madelyn could take her naps), and headed out to the game on Saturday night. The highlight of the evening was Manny Ramirez hitting his 500th home run at the game. Madelyn saw history and stayed awake until we left towards the end. She had a great time and is becoming a true Red Sox fan!

All ready for the pool and it started raining!!!

Little Sox Fan! She makes her Daddy so proud!

Happy Birthday Bill

We had a few friends over last night for dinner to celebrate Bill's 30th birthday. We had a great time with everyone. We have had a fun Memorial Day weekend. We went to a wedding on Saturday evening, Bill played some golf, and Madelyn and I are heading to the mall this afternoon to catch some of those sales. Hope everyone has had a great holiday weekend! Here are a few pictures from last night:

Bon Appetite

Madelyn had her 6 month appointment today and it went great. She weighs 14 lbs 6 oz (12th percentile) and is 26 in tall (48th percentile). The doctor said that she is tall and skinny! We have the go ahead to start solid foods and tried sweet potatoes for the first time this evening. She absolutely loved them and you can see it in the picture above. I took a video but for some reason it would not upload onto blogger. Madelyn is really starting to be her own person. She's reaching for everything, laughing, loves to play with her toys and watch other kids, and she especially has begun to love our dog Fenway. She smiles every time she sees him and watches his every move. She even thinks it's funny to give him her pacifier. Fenway has eaten so many pacifiers I'm waiting for the day we're going to have to take him to the vet with some sort of blockage in his stomach.

Our goal this week is to make Madelyn's bedtime later. She's been such a sleepyhead at 6 every night that she's been in bed before 6:30. We are going to the SOX/Orioles game next Saturday evening so I'm experimenting with naps to make the bedtime a little later. Today she napped in the morning, early afternoon, and we squeezed in a late afternoon nap and she lasted until 7:30 which is perfect. Madelyn definitely takes after her Daddy who slept non-stop as a baby!!

6 months old!

Madelyn was 6 months old on Friday! She has her Dr. appointment tomorrow and we are very curious to see how much she has grown. Here are some pictures from the weekend and today. We went to our neighborhood block party on Saturday and had a great time. We spent most of the day on Sunday packing up the attic. Today we went to the DeHaven's house for playgroup. Here are some pictures from the weekend and today:

What a big girl!

Happy Mother's Day

Today has been a wonderful first Mother's Day for me. I'm so blessed to have such a amazing and beautiful little girl and I love watching her grow and smile every day. We also want to say Happy Mother's Day to our mothers (aka Nana and Grandma). They are the best mothers and grandmothers in the world and have been role models to us over the last 6 months as new parents. We love both of them so much!

Here are a couple of pictures from today and some pictures we took this weekend of our new house:

Weekend Fun

We have had a great weekend with friends while enjoying the warm weather. On Friday, Madleyn spent the morning with Nana while Mommy worked on some house selections. On Saturday, we went to a cookout at the Moore's house and had a great time hanging out with good friends along with yummy food, wine, and of course beer pong. Today, we went to church, took a walk in the park, saw our new house (only six weeks left!!!) and also had a visit from Aunt Doris, Uncle Harold, and Cousin Eli. What a busy weekend!

Madelyn started sitting up a little bit on her own. She can only sit for a second without assistance, but we think it will only be a matter of time until she can sit up on her own. We are so proud!

Here are some pictures from the weekend:

Proud Daddy!

Fun with Karyn and AJ Baskette. Our lives sure have changed!
